IAGES is an academic organization focused on training and re-certification of Minimal Access Surgeons. These courses focus on upskilling trained surgeons to improve their clinical spectrum. For IAGES ELSA 2026, 2 types of courses are available for surgeons from India or overseas.
FIAGES is a general Laparoscopy course to educate participants in all routine Laparoscopic surgeries, with a brief introduction to advanced specialty procedures.

EFIAGES is a GI Endoscopy course, designed for training surgeons in the art of Upper & Lower GI Endoscopy.

FALS Robotics is designed to educate participants in all types of basic & advanced Robotic surgeries.

During the course, young surgeons (those within 10 years of completing postgraduation) are required to appear for a 1 hour online written examination and a viva with an examiner (Exam Category). Senior surgeons (more than 10 years after post-graduation with relevant experience) are exempted from written examination and only appear for a viva (Non-Exam Category). All successful candidates will be eligible to collect a fellowship (FIAGES / EFIAGES / FALS) diploma certificate in a glittering convocation ceremony on the Sunday, 15th February, 2026 itself. This is a unique ceremony usually attended by spouses and children as well.
A one-day onsite course, designed to help understand science behind hiatal surgeries and master techniques of primary & revisional Hiatal Hernia surgeries.

These are curated pre / post Congress courses to enhance participants visit experience & learning, based on lacunae in the surgical training worldwide. These one- or two-day courses will be held at a center of excellence, led by renowned faculty from around the world. No examination/viva will be conducted for the course participants. A certificate of attendance will be handed over at the end of the course by the course convenor(s).
