Welcome to IAGES ELSA 2026!

This conference is a tribute to our founder President Prof Tehemton E Udwadia, who single handedly steered minimal access surgery penetration across the country and region. Congress President Dr Satish Midha and the Patron Dr Abhay Dalvi are the guiding lights to ensure quality academics, excellent faculty and participant’s comfort.

We invite you to share your experience and/or data with other surgeons from India and abroad. The theme of the conference ‘Beyond Evidence…Experience! is an invitation to experienced and even young surgeons to contribute as an invited faculty. Please feel free to share a brief about your topic of presentation for inclusion in the program, subject to approval by the scientific committee.

Each topic will be carefully chosen by the scientific committee led by Dr Roy Patankar, to make it useful even for an experienced surgeon. Similarly, live surgeries will be performed at a pace, that a beginner can replicate in future. Online fellowship courses(FIAGES, FALS & EFIAGES) will provide self-paced lecture attendance in advance, to reduce Mumbai stay & also provide access, even after the convocation,

Mumbai has a pleasant weather in February and the venue is carefully selected to provide 3 days of ‘in house’ interaction between faculty & delegates.
